Synthesis, Characterization and Antimicrobial Activity of Schiff�s Base Derivatives of Vanillin Analogue

ShahThe chemistry of Schiff’s base containing an active Imine linkage has assumed important because of their versatility in the synthesis of many heterocyclic compounds. Schiff’s base of N-Aryl-4-(p-chlorobenzyloxy)-3- methoxyphenyl-1-yl-azomethines and Aryl amines of 4-(p-chlorobenzyloxy)-3-methoxybenzylarylamines were prepared. All the prepared compounds were characterized by their spectral (IR, NMR, Mass) data and screened for their antimicrobial activities.
