This paper presents the RMIT Adaptable Framework for Interactive Distributed Development, Customization and Optimization (rapidDCO), a framework for CAD / CAE studies, which is an extension of the gaming technology focused entirely on the components that have been developed. RapidDCO is designed for use in multidisciplinary, collaborative and allocated engineering environments where competing layout criteria are intended to be addressed through feedback from many disciplines and techniques.
