 Bioenergy refers to electricity and gas that's generated from organic matter, referred to as biomass. this will be anything from plants and timber to agricultural and garbage – and even sewage. The term bioenergy also covers transport fuels produced from organic matter. n its most narrow sense it's a synonym to biofuel, which is fuel derived from biological sources. In its broader sense it includes biomass, the biological material used as a biofuel, also because the social, economic, scientific and technical fields related to using biological sources for energy. this is often a standard misconception, as bioenergy is that the energy extracted from the biomass, because the biomass is that the fuel and therefore the bioenergy is that the energy contained within the fuel
