Nanotechnology and nano-medicine offer valuable solutions for the crisis of COVID-19

Nanotechnology and nano-medicine offer valuable solutions for the crisis of COVID-19 Nanotechnology and nano-medicine offer valuable solutions for the crisis of COVID-19 Material Science: An Indian Journal is pleased to announce Special issue on “Nanotechnology and nano-medicine offer valuable solutions for the crisis of COVID-19”. Gold nanoparticles are being widely deployed in rapid antibody tests, via the Colloidal Gold Method. Gold nanoparticles have also been used by researchers in diagnostic RNA assays to detect amounts of SARS-CoV-2 RNA sequences in a matter of minutes. We have also seen nanotechnology used in fighting COVID-19, through its use in cleaning products, PPE, diagnostics and potential vaccines. We have created this report to highlight things you need to know about rapid COVID-19 antibody tests, other testing solutions and how nanotechnology can help fight the coronavirus pandemic. It is likely that nanotechnology innovations will also be used to fight the virus, for example Thomas Webster, who specialises in developing nano-scale medicine and technology to treat diseases using nanoparticles to disrupt the virus in the body. With the same purpose our Journal “Material Science: An Indian Journal” is announcing Special issue Call for paper on “Nanotechnology and nano-medicine offer valuable solutions for the crisis of COVID-19”. We welcome both solicited and unsolicited submissions that will contribute to this special issue before 30th June 2020. Submission Process • Special issue articles can include both original unpublished research articles and review articles related to the specific theme • Manuscripts will be accepted for publishing in the special issue only after getting approved by the peer review committee. • All the articles in special issues should strictly adhere to journal style and formatting. • Each special issue can be created with 5-7 articles. • All accepted manuscripts can be submitted online via www.scholarscentral.org/submissions/gerontology-geriatric-research.html or through an email id to materialsscience@tsijournals.com • Submission should be accompanied by a cover letter with reference to the concerned special issue theme.
