Geriatric Occupational Therapy Review Articles

Physical & Occupational Therapy in Geriatrics is a peer-reviewed medical journal that aims to act as a forum for allied health professionals as well as others with a focus on rehabilitation of the geriatric client to share information, clinical experience, research, and therapeutic practice. Geriatrics is the medical subspecialty that focuses on the care of elderly adults. Older adults often have complex medical needs such as multiple chronic diseases that require a team approach to care. Although many elders no longer work, occupational therapy is one of the strategies used to help seniors remain as independent and functional as possible in both their own homes and community-assisted living situations.
