Study of cole-cole plot of lithium substituted manganese ferrites

Polycrystalline ferrites, Li0.5-0.5xMnxFe2.5-0.5xO4 (where x=0.0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9 and 1.0), were prepared by using ceramic method. The impedance measurements have been determined in the frequency range 100 Hz–1 MHz. The complex impedance spectra shows the presence of two semicircles for x=0.0, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9 and 1, and only one semicircle for x=0.1 and 0.3. The analysis of the data shows that the resistive and capacitive properties of the Mn ferrite are mainly due to processes associated with grain and grain boundaries.
