Microwave accelerated green synthesis of dihydropyrimidinones
Author(s): Mridula Phukan, Parthapratim Chaliha, Kalyan Jyoti Borah, Ashim Jyoti Thakur, Ruli Borah*The effect of microwave irradiation(MWI) was investigated for Biginelli reaction of aromatic aldehyde, ï¢-ketoester, and (thio) urea without using organic solvent or catalyst under different microwave power level to the corresponding dihydropyrimidinones. These studies developed an improved microwave-assisted method for the synthesis of dihydropyrimi dinones in green condition with good yields.
