Corrosion inhibition effect of extract ofVernonia amygdalina on aluminium in acidicmedia was studied using gravimetric method. The results revealed that V. amygdalina could be used as an eco-friendly corrosion inhibitor for aluminium in HCl solution. The corrosion inhibition efficiency of the extract increases with it concentration of in the corrosion media. Surface coverage of the extract obeyed Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Hence, the corrosion inhibition effect of the extract was rationalised via adsorption mechanism.
