The Stem of the plant Tinospora cardifolia Miers. was extracted with methanol by Soxhlet extraction. The extracts were vacuum dried and subjected to cytotoxic and anticancer activities on cultured cell line. From the results it was evident that the plant C. orchioides neither acts as an anti cancer or cytotoxic agent.
